Almost everyone’s talking about the royal wedding! As a hairstylist, one of the aspects of the royal wedding that I pay particular attention to is the bride’s hairstyle.
In case you missed it, Meghan looked elegant and spectacular in her messy bun! It was already a quite popular hairstyle, but the messy bun hairstyle has sharply increased in popularity over the last several months as women began paying more attention to Meghan Markle and many women want to know how to achieve the same look.
It’s actually quite simple.
- Muss your hair up a little bit by running your fingers through it or maybe turning your head upside down.
- Add a part in the middle of your hair (your usual part’s fine, too).
- Now’s the time to pull out sections to frame your face, unless you want it all back.
- Pull your hair back into a ponytail no higher than the middle of the back of your head.
- Add some hair oil for shine.
- Wrap your hair up and secure the bun and any unwanted stray strands with bobby pins.
- Spray with hairspray to help keep strands from falling out, especially if it’s for a special engagement, such as a prom or wedding.
