Salons and stylists that want to officially claim that they can do an American Wave perm have to go to New York and be trained in how they do it, as well as use that salon’s special perm formulation.
Does that mean that you can’t get an American Wave perm in Dunbar, WV? Yes and no! While no salon in WV can give you THE American Wave perm, you can get the same look at Carla’s salon.
Other names for this type of perm include body wave perm, body perm, permanent beach waves, natural-looking wave, and beach wave perm.
Body perms are great for adding texture and body to your hair. You can choose to get more or less wave. Waves range from just a little bit of waves with the waves blended into the hair to almost curly.
