Want trendy hair? Here’s a short list of what I’m noticing in my shop for Fall and Winter 2018 and into 2019.
Crazy Color, also called Fantasy Hair – This one’s been trending for a while now and shows no signs of letting up. Hair colors include greens, reds, blues, purples, etc and includes color combinations, such as mermaid hair (shown) and sunset.
Rihanna Hairstyles – Various Rihanna hairstyles have been popular for a while now. I’ve had a few students from South Charleston High School specifically request #2 from this list since school started in September. The last girl said it’s very popular since school began again.
Straight Hair – As with Rihanna hairstyles and crazy color, straight hair has been popular for a while now. I often get asked what options are available for straightening hair.
Cranberry Haircolor and Highlights – A very popular color choice since the beginning of this month, since November is the start of the holiday season. A deep red, like cranberry sauce, it is somewhat similar in color to burgundy. Of course, burgundy is still a very popular and frequently requested hair color.
So, what trend have I noticed going away? Gray haircoloring (not to be confused with natural gray hair), which goes in the crazy-fantasy color category.
